Players
What this tracks
Standard Catan VP sources:
- Settlements: 1 VP each, max 5
- Cities: 2 VP each, max 4
- Longest Road: 2 VP bonus
- Largest Army: 2 VP bonus
- Victory Point dev cards: 1 VP each (hidden until revealed)
Total possible from these sources: 5 + 8 + 2 + 2 + 5 = 22 VP. The win condition is 10 — far below the maximum, meaning multiple players are usually close to winning by mid-game.
For Cities & Knights or other expansions
This tracker uses base Catan VP. For Cities & Knights (13 VP target, metropolis bonus), add 2 VP per metropolis to the "VP cards" field, or treat each metropolis as a hidden VP. The default 10 VP highlight changes if you adjust the threshold mentally.
Privacy and data
All data saves locally in your browser. Nothing leaves your device. Refresh the page and your tracker state persists. Clear browser storage and it resets. The tool works offline once loaded.
Strategy: who's actually winning?
The tracker shows visible VP. Hidden VP cards aren't visible to opponents, which is the entire point of buying them late-game. If you suspect an opponent has a hidden VP, mentally add 1-2 to their visible total — most opponents at 7-8 visible VP have at least one hidden card.
The leader you should treat as "the leader" is whoever has the highest visible + likely-hidden total. If two players are at 8 visible VP and one has been buying dev cards consistently while the other has been building, the dev-card buyer is more dangerous.
